SUMMARY:San Antonio Juneteenth Commission: Juneteenth Festival
DESCRIPTION:1996 the first Juneteenth Celebration was held at the Freeman Coliseum and featured local bands and entertainment. Past festivals have been held at the Carver Cultural Center and St. Paul Square. However\, for the past 20+ years\, the festival has found a home at Comanche Park No. 2. Through the tireless efforts of the Commission\, volunteers\, and community organizers\, the Juneteenth Festival has become a favorite venue for family reunions and the entire community. This year is no exception. Local musicians and DJs will have you dancing and shouting the night away. The festival features the 12-Eleven band on Saturday evening and then closes with Heatwave. Bring your whole family out for this free event. \nLearn more
