DESCRIPTION:We are excited to celebrate the 40th Annual Tower Climb & Run at the Tower of the Americas! \n40th Annual Tower Climb and Run\nTower of the Americas\nSaturday\, January 25\, 2025 \nThis event is THE most unique athletic challenge fundraising event anywhere in San Antonio! Where else can one run 1-mile followed by running the 952 steps to the top of the Tower of the Americas? Answer: only here and only at this once-a-year event! \nHow to Participate: \nCOMPETIVELY TIMED – Each person will run 1 mile\, wears a chipped timed bib\, and races to the top of the Tower to the Observation Deck/Finish Line. \nNON-COMPETITIVE / NON-TIMED – No chipped time bib and no 1 mile run before. Participants will climb the Tower at their own pace. \nFIRST RESPONDERS (Full Uniform) – TIMED-CHIIPPED BIB \nACTIVE-DUTY & VETERAN MILITARY (wear weighted vest) – TIMED-CHIPPED BIB \nALL PARTICIPANTS MUST EXIT THE TOWER BY USING THE EXIT STAIRWELL. THE ELEVATOR WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR EXIT AND IS USED FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY. \nPlease be sure to select COMPETITIVE or NON-COMPETITIVE during registration. If you change your mind and would like to change your participation status\, please notify chapter. The registration fee will be applied to the fundraising minimum. \nMinimum Pledge Requirement Policy: The minimum pledge requirement of $150 is due before or during packet pick-up days. If you have met your minimum pledge by the day of the event\, we encourage you to keep fundraising. Reach for the stars and earn great prizes. Even though the minimum is due by the day of the event\, you have one month after the event to earn great CF Climb prizes. The average amount a participant raises is $330. This feature-length documentary from Curtis Craven\, A Way of Life: The East Texas Cowboys\, follows a group of day work cowboys and their dogs\, a family of horse trainers\, and the controlled chaos of an auction house located in the heart of Texas cow-calf country. Craven’s storytelling sheds light on the often unknown world of the East Texas Cowboy. \nStay after the screening for a discussion and Q&A with filmmaker Curtis Craven and featured cowboys Carroll Langham and Klay Currie. \nTickets are $8 for Museum Members and $12 for General Admission.
