SUMMARY:The Wall That Heals: Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica & Mobile Education Center - (Corpus Christi)
DESCRIPTION:Since its unveiling on Veterans Day 1996\, The Wall That Heals\, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington\, D.C.\, has visited nearly 700 communities across the United States\, bringing the memorial’s healing legacy to millions. \nThis exhibit brings the three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial located in Washington\, D.C. and mobile education center to the Coastal Bend. \nThe Wall That Heals will be displayed at the Veterans Memorial High School Soccer Field. \n• Open 24 hours\, starting Thursday\, March 27th \n• Closes at 2 pm on Sunday\, March 30th \n• Free to the public \nThis traveling exhibit\, including a mobile Education Center\, enables veterans and their families to experience the memorial’s comfort and peace within their own communities\, fostering the healing process for many who have struggled to confront their memories. \nThe Wall That Heals exhibit was on the road for nearly 18\,000 miles and visited 32 communities across the country during its 2023 season. The memorial was escorted by nearly 3\,000 vehicles into those communities\, spreading The Wall’s healing legacy to more than 222\,000 visitors. Guided tours of the exhibit were provided to more than 21\,000 visitors. \nThe Wall That Heals will be open 24 hours a day beginning March 27\, until closing Sunday\, March 30\, 2025. This event is free and open to all. \nIt is our sincere honor for our community to be chosen as a host site for The Wall That Heals.
