This family-friendly celebration of kites\, four-legged friends\, and community spirit promises a day of joy and camaraderie amidst the natural beauty of one of San Antonio’s most cherished parks. \nEvent Details:\nEvent: The 17th Annual Fest of Tails: Kite Festival & Dog Fair\nWhere: McAllister Park near the dog park and pump track\nWhen: Saturday\, October 19\, 9 AM – 2 PM\nAdmission: free and open to the public\, all ages \nImportant Links:\n● Early registration link for Pooch Parade & Costume Contest entry:\nRegister here \nHighlights of the Fest of Tails 2024 include:\n● Mobile FIT offering health screenings\n● Fitness in the Park by Parks and Rec\n● Ghisallo Cycling Initiative will host our Adventure Course and offer free cycling\nresources\, how to ride clinics\, and safety giveaways.\n● Pet-Friendly Activities: Bring your furry friends for a day of fun with a pet parade and costume contest. Come ready to adopt a 4-legged family member with 3 adoption partners.\n● Pooch Parade: Dress up your pet and compete for best in show\n● DJ and Dancing\n● Food and Beverage: A diverse selection of local vendors offering delicious treats for all\ntastes.\n● Milk carton giveaway to be paired up with the sweet treat\n● Tree giveaway provided by Urban Forestry\n● Native and Pollinator plant giveaway provided by Parks and Rec\n● Trees and Plants will start at 9am until we run out. \nSponsorship Opportunities:\nThe success of Fest of Tails relies on the support of our community partners.
