H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery

H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery Partners are passionate about helping Texans and slowing the spread of the coronavirus.

Expanding Access and Slowing the Spread

Texans now more than ever are taking advantage of H-E-B’s Curbside pickup and Home Delivery services as an aid for crucial social distancing efforts.  We know that in some cases we’re not providing the service and product assortment our customers normally expect. But rest assured, H-E-B Partners are working diligently to design multiple solutions for all Customers to access the food and supplies they need with limited public interaction.

To make more time slots available, customers will now only be able to place orders no more than seven days out. In the long term, this change will allow us to serve more customers sooner and will allow our personal shoppers to pick orders before the store opens and during non-peak times, creating a safer option that increases social distancing efforts and the number of orders processed daily.

As we implement these changes, time slots will initially be hard to come by but we’re working hard to open more time slots throughout each day. Temporarily, next day Curbside pickup will include a $4.95 personal shopper fee. Curbside orders will be free on orders placed more than two days out. All Home Delivery orders will include a $5 delivery fee.

Again, we understand that timeslots for these services are filling up fast and may be booked several days out. To meet the high demand, we’re working as quickly as possible to increase our capacity and build new time slots, and our Partners are working around the clock on innovative options to get all customers the products they need, when and where they need them.

To further promote social distancing, H-E-B has launched doorstep delivery for all Home Delivery orders. With this system, delivery drivers will now leave all Home Delivery orders at the customer’s doorstep, eliminating close personal interaction. Customers will be contacted when deliveries arrive and are reminded to promptly refrigerate perishable food items upon delivery. As an added precaution, Curbside and Home Delivery customers no longer need to touch the mobile device screen to acknowledge their order was received.

Curbside and Delivery Time Slots and Product Availability

Our Partners are working hard to meet the demand of our H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery customers, and we want to get you the products you request. As we have temporary purchase limits in place and are working to restock shelves, our personal shoppers will fill Curbside and Home Delivery orders as completely as they can. In some cases, we might need to substitute a customer’s preferred brand for another, but we will always prioritize getting our customers the products they need.

All orders will include the option for substitutions. We will select comparable products and let you know if your requested item is unavailable. Your order will not be canceled but will be fulfilled to the best of our ability. Additionally, orders no longer have item limits and customers can choose up to 10 add-ons after orders are submitted.

As we continue adding new time slots to serve more customers, time slots selected by customers for existing orders cannot be changed. This is to accommodate as many orders as possible. Placing a Curbside or Home Delivery order does not reserve or set aside items from our stores for that timeframe. Your personal shopper will select items based on store inventory at the time the order is selected.
