Reading is a vital part of a child’s learning experience. The tough reality is that not all Texas children have access to books in their homes.

In 2011 H‑E‑B launched Read 3 to help the 507,000 Texas children who are not read to on a regular basis.¹ Since then, 1.5 Million new or gently used children’s books have been collected for children in need. This year, we plan on adding another million books for redistribution.

If your organization or event has a need for books, please complete the H‑E‑B Request for Book Donation process.

Put together a package that includes:

•  Written proposal or letter of request on your organization’s letterhead
•  Completed Request for Book Donation Application
