H-E-B is profoundly grateful for the selfless sacrifice of America’s military heroes, including those who have sustained injuries protecting our nation’s freedoms. We feel it is our duty to help military service members who have been seriously injured begin a new phase in their lives, removing barriers and making day-to-day activities more accessible so they never feel out of place in their own homes.

These homes include dozens of special adaptations such as widened doorways for wheelchair access, a roll-in shower, and kitchen amenities that include pull-down shelving and lowered countertops, which allow for better mobility and provide for safer navigation. For these homes, H-E-B works with the family to design the look and feel of the home’s interior, and in each instance H-E-B Partners help with the finishing touches so the space is complete before families move in.

We are committed to giving away ultra-accessible, mortgage-free, and fully furnished homes to
severely wounded Veterans and their families across Texas.
