Bestway, Intex, and Polygroup Recall Certain Above-Ground Pools 48-Inches and Taller

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Bestway is voluntarily recalling Power Steel, Steel Pro, and Coleman Power Steel above-ground frame pools 48 inches or taller in height with compression straps running on the outside of the vertical legs of the frame pool, which were sold between 2008 and 2024. The compression strap maintains the structural integrity of the pool.
Currently, H-E-B does not carry these products. 
The pools use compression straps that surround the exterior wall of the pool and the support poles, which a child may use as a foothold to gain access to the pool, posing a drowning hazard.
Consumers should contact Bestway, Intex or Polygroup to request a repair kit. In the interim consumers should ensure that children cannot access the pool unattended or, alternatively, drain the pool until the repair can be installed.
While all Bestway above-ground frame pools 48 inches or taller in height being sold today have already addressed this concern, we want to ensure that these changes can be applied to all previously sold above-ground frame pools 48 inches or taller in height.
There is a dedicated recall website at www.bestwayusa.com/recall-and-safety where customers can find instructions on how to determine if their product is affected and additional information about the recall.
