Connections In Texas: Juneteenth The Play – (Houston)

Juneteenth The Play is a multicultural play and enjoyable for the entire family. It tells the heartfelt story of Tippy, a brave enslaved woman and Henry a determined enslaved man, whose unwavering love, faith, and prayers carried them through the dark trials of slavery. This play sheds light on the additional two years of enslavement endured by African Americans in Texas, despite the Emancipation Proclamation. This play is written, directed and produced by former NFL Dallas Cowboy, Greg Ellis and is brought to Galveston by Connections In Texas, “Willie G ” Glasgow, promoter. This Stage Play will make history as the first Juneteenth Stage Play to perform at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston, Texas, The birthplace of Juneteenth. Two shows are schedule for Friday, June 20, 2025, and Saturday, June 21, 2025, Showtime 7p.m. both nights.
