To honor and celebrate Hispanic heritage in Kerrville. Activities include:
1. Dia de los Muertos event featuring traditional music, dance, food, a large community ofrenda and 10 small ofrendas with notable Hispanic figures.
1. Youth art contest to create art on 3 utility boxes that reflect Hispanic themes, placed in prominent locations, serving as visual art.
3. Host presentations to local students. (in process)
4. History activity to collect stories & pictures for new museum.The event is on November 1, 2025 from 10am-4pm at the corner of Broadway and Travis street (historic Union Church building). We have partnered with the Heart of the Hills Heritage Center, The Butt- Holdsworth Library, the Doyle Community Center, Kerr Historical Commission, and Kerrville Convention & Visitors Bureau.
