For toddlers, they’re at a time in their lives when they reach several memorable milestones: getting a first tooth, taking their first steps, and uttering their first words. But none are as monumental for a Texas toddler than their first encounter with a soft, warm H-E-B Bakery Butter Flour Tortilla. 

This year’s H-E-B Big Game spot centers around a young Texan with his eyes on the prize. A Texas favorite, H-E-B Bakery Butter Flour Tortillas ultimately become the toddler’s object of desire in this humorous skit that Texans, young and old, will relate to.

The adorable spot pays homage to one of H-E-B’s most identifiable and loved items. H-E-B Bakery Flour Tortillas are made fresh daily in store at H-E-B bakery locations across the Lone Star State. The soft, warm morsels are known to entice Texans to sneak a quick bite in the car after a grocery run. Eager travelers stuff packs of the floury delights inside their luggage to ensure they are stocked back home. And the enthusiasm around the H-E-B staple has even launched spin-off products such as butter tortilla scented candles and flour tortilla blankets.

“We always look forward to our Big Game commercials because they allow us to have a little fun with our fans and their favorite H-E-B products,” said Ashwin Nathan, H-E-B Group Vice President of Marketing. “There is something special about the bond between H-E-B and Texans, and these commercials are our way of celebrating and connecting with them during the biggest game of the year.”  

H-E-B regularly releases commercials to air during the Big Game. The 60-second commercial will broadcast between the third and fourth quarters in more than a dozen key Texas markets. After its debut, the spot will air through March in markets across the state and be available on the H-E-B YouTube page. H-E-B’s award-winning marketing team worked with Dallas-based Plot Twist Creativity, the creative agency for the commercial, which is titled, “Baby Wants Tortillas.”
