The Austin Dragon Boat Festival (ADBF) is a 25-year Austin tradition and a one-day, family-friendly cultural and sporting festival taking place Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Festival Beach on Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas.
Dragon boat racing takes place throughout the morning and early afternoon (approximately 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.), featuring corporate, community, and competitive teams racing on the lake. In parallel, artist-led cultural programming runs from late morning through the afternoon (approximately 10 a.m.–4 p.m.) and includes live performances, visual art, food, and community activities presented by local AANHPI artists.
Produced by The Lunar Foundation, the festival centers paid opportunities and visibility for local AANHPI artists while welcoming corporate teams, families, and the broader Central Texas community for a full day of celebration, teamwork, and cultural exchange. The festival continues under The Lunar Foundation’s stewardship, with veteran race coordinator Sheena Chang leading race operations to ensure continuity and excellence. The event is free and open to the public.
