H-E-B has plans to renovate and expand its H-E-B store in Waxahachie, starting in early 2023. The renovations will grow the store’s footprint to 127,000 square feet, and with the additional space and broader assortment of products, the location will become an H-E-B plus! store.
After renovations are complete, the store will feature new and upgraded departments, a larger product assortment, a 2-lane Pharmacy Drive Thru, an expanded Curbside area with more dedicated parking, and nearly 50 additional parking spaces for in-store shoppers. Most existing departments will be expanded, and the store will get new signage and upgraded façade and entryway.
As part of the renovation, new amenities will include:
- True Texas BBQ restaurant with outdoor seating
- Sushi Kiosk featuring sushi selections made in-store daily and Sushiya Grill offerings
- Cooking Connections offering cooking demonstrations
- Blooms Market floral department, offering online ordering and delivery service
- Home by H-E-B featuring home accessories, furniture, and more
- Charcoal & Grilling featuring outdoor cooking essentials
- Apparel section
Some upgrades to existing areas include:
- Additional checkout lanes, ample self-checkout options
- Larger Bakery department with a wide selection of artisan breads, large varieties of desserts, pastries, and cakes
- Full-service seafood counter with bigger service case and fresh seafood seven day a week
- Expanded Meat Market Department with full-service counter.
- Healthy living department with bulk food items, supplements and nut grinding station
- As the #1 beer and wine retailer in Texas, the store will have an expanded craft beer and wine section with a sampling station
- Beauty department with a wide selection of cosmetics and other beauty item
- Texas backyard with outdoor essentials
- Fuel station with upgraded look
The store will remain open during the renovations, which are expected to be complete in 2024.
