H-E-B’s 2019 Big Game commercial brings a taste of Texas

For Texans, a little taste of the Lone Star State is all you need to feel at home – just ask one stranded on a deserted island.

Cast away on a remote beach, alone and helpless, we see the tide change for a fellow Texan when he spots a stray KODI cooler that fortuitously washes onto the shore. Seeing that the vessel contains some of H-E-B’s tastiest items, our scruffy friend finds comfort, turning his bleak situation into one that would give any Texan a taste of home.

Taking a playful and comedic approach to this year’s Big Game commercial, H-E-B will showcase an array of top-quality H-E-B brand products that Texans have come to love.

Launched in 1992, H-E-B brand items are unique and creative products featured exclusively at H-E-B stores, Central Market, Joe V’s and Mi Tienda. There are thousands of H-E-B brand products on store shelves, and some more popular items include KODI by H-E-B coolers and tumblers, H-E-B Mootopia milk, Swoon by H-E-B ice cream, and H-E-B Meal Simple, quick and easy chef-inspired meals made in minutes.

A fan favorite and a perfect snack for the Big Game, we make enough H-E-B Simply Wrapped Bacon Jalapeño Poppers, which are individually assembled by hand in San Antonio, to stretch from Brownsville to Atlanta. And for our taco lovers, we make enough H-E-B Corn Tortillas annually that can stretch from San Antonio to Austin to Houston and back.
