Appreciation events and an annual donation campaign honor military spouses and families across Texas
H-E-B is honoring military families across Texas with a series of appreciation events, including a milestone baby shower in San Antonio and events in communities statewide.
On Wednesday, May 6, H-E-B’s Operation Appreciation program partnered with Operation Shower and the San Antonio Spurs to host a Texas-sized baby shower for 55 military moms-to-be. The event marked H-E-B’s 20th baby shower for military families since 2016, supporting more than 600 military moms through the program over the past decade. The event also coincided with Operation Shower’s 250th baby shower nationwide.
“Military spouses and families make countless sacrifices in support of our nation, and we’re proud to celebrate them in a meaningful way,” said Johnny Mojica, H-E-B Public Affairs Manager. “From our baby showers to appreciation events across Texas, these moments are about recognizing the strength, resilience, and service of military families in the communities we serve.”
In honor of National Military Spouse Appreciation Day, H-E-B is hosting appreciation events across the state this week in honor of military spouses and families. Throughout the month, the company will continue partnering with organizations like the United Service Organizations to support and recognize military spouses and families statewide.

Committed to honoring our nation’s heroes year-round, H-E-B Operation Appreciation supports military service members, Veterans, and their families within H-E-B and throughout the communities it serves. Since launching in 2013, the program has provided more than $17 million in support to military-focused nonprofit organizations across Texas, while also connecting service members and military spouses with career opportunities and supporting efforts to provide mortgage-free homes to severely wounded Veterans. Regularly recognized as a top workplace for military Veterans, H-E-B has hired more than 30,000 Veterans and military spouses since 2014.
In addition to these events, H-E-B is launching its annual statewide donation campaign benefiting nonprofit organizations serving active-duty service members, Veterans, military spouses, and their families. The campaign launches Wednesday, May 6 and runs through Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Since 2013, the campaign has raised more than $4.3 million to support military families and Veterans across Texas. Customers can support the campaign by donating at H-E-B registers statewide. Customers can also raise a cup for those who serve and have served through Café Olé by H-E-B’s Commemorative Collection coffee. For every purchase, $.35 benefits members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
