The 131,000-square-foot store becomes the 10th H-E-B location to open in the Metroplex
H-E-B officially opened its H-E-B Rockwall store, making it the 10th H-E-B location the retailer has opened in the DFW Metroplex. The 131,000-square-foot Rockwall H-E-B joins nine other H-E-B stores and two Joe V’s Smart Shop locations the retailer has opened in the area since 2022. H-E-B also operates six Central Market locations throughout North Texas.
The new store is at 1600 E Interstate 30 at the southwest corner of I-30 and S. John King Blvd. in Rockwall County, east of Dallas. The store is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Filled with exciting amenities and innovations that the retailer is known for, the Rockwall store has distinctive features such as a True Texas BBQ restaurant with drive-thru; full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with drive-thru; and H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery services with a large Curbside parking area.

Inside and out, the new store reflects the unique character of the Rockwall community. The store design also emphasizes environmental sustainability, incorporating several energy efficient inclusions such as CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting.

Through its Spirit of Giving philosophy, H-E-B is dedicated to its customers beyond its stores. H-E-B commemorated the store’s grand opening with donations totaling $20,000 to local nonprofits. Two gifts of $10,000 each supported Patriot Paws, a nonprofit that trains and provides service dogs at no cost to disabled military Veterans, and the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Texas.
In the DFW area, H-E-B has opened H-E-B stores in Plano, McKinney, Allen, Alliance, Mansfield, Melissa, and Prosper, as well as two H-E-B’s in Frisco. H-E-B also has officially announced plans for stores in Irving, Murphy, Mid-Cities, Forney, and Denton. Earlier this year, the retailer also purchased land in Dallas at Hillcrest Road and LBJ Freeway, a site being considered for the company’s first H-E-B store in the city of Dallas.

On the same day, H-E-B officially opened its newest Houston-area store, H-E-B Jordan Ranch. The 116,000-square-foot store is located at 29711 Jordan Crossing Blvd. in the Jordan Ranch Market shopping center at the corner of Texas Heritage Parkway and Jordan Crossing. The store will serve communities in Katy and Fulshear, west of Houston.
As a multi-format retailer, H-E-B operates Joe V’s Smart Shop and Central Market stores throughout Texas, as well as Mi Tienda store formats in Houston. H-E-B also owns Favor Delivery, a fast and convenient delivery service that serves cities across the state.
