H-E-B is excited to open its newest store in New Braunfels, which is the first location in the company to feature a Home by H-E-B department and a two-story True Texas BBQ restaurant. At 122,000 square feet, the new store has an expansive product assortment and several convenient services customers have come to expect from H-E-B.

“We are thrilled to bring a new H-E-B store to New Braunfels, which introduces our customers to some exciting features and departments that are firsts for our company,” said Julie Bedingfield, H-E-B Public Affairs Manager.

 

“With an enhanced in-store experience and commitment to top-quality service and selection, this new store is tailored to serve the needs of this growing community and provide our customers with the best we have to offer

Among the stores many highlights include a two-story True Texas BBQ, H-E-B’s lauded barbecue restaurant that was named best barbecue chain in Texas by Texas Monthly and a top barbecue chain in the nation by Thrillist. The restaurant will have indoor seating on both levels.

Additionally, the store is the first to welcome Home by H-E-B. With two brands in the department,

Haven + Key and Texas Proud, the collection offers hundreds of items that include timeless home textiles, inspiring décor, and versatile furniture and accent pieces. Under the Haven + Key line, customers can find on-trend seasonal items from candles, mirrors and toss pillows, to kitchen textiles, rugs, throw blankets and accent furniture. The Texas Proud brand will celebrate Texas style and feature many similar items made by Texas-based artisans and businesses such as wood and antler art from Broken Antler in Converse, leather goods from Lucio Tailoring Co. in San Antonio, cowhide benches from Texas Bench Worx in Luling, and hand-poured candles from Rustic Swank in New Braunfels.

H-E-B plans to open more Home by H-E-B departments inside additional H-E-B locations throughout the year.

With an updated world-class shopping experience, the new store will offer fresh, quality food options and innovative services that allow customers to choose how they shop, pay for, and receive their products. Customers will find all the signature features and conveniences they expect from H-E-B, with many new and expanded product selections, including exciting services such as H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery. Additionally, the new store’s design elements will also complement the look and feel of the surrounding neighborhood and the New Braunfels community.

 

The new store will operate seven days a week from

6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Along with more space, expanded selection, and innovative services, the new store also adds more jobs to the local community. H-E-B is passionately committed to its customers, weaving its Spirit of Giving philosophy beyond the four walls of its stores. In this spirit and in celebration of the grand opening, H-E-B donated $10,000 each to McKenna Children’s Museum and Communities in Schools South Central Texas.

This new store replaces the former location, which closed earlier this week. The new store, which is situated on the same property on Walnut Ave., is about 40,000 square feet larger. The former store opened in 1994. H-E-B operates three stores in New Braunfels.
