NatureBest Precut & Produce LLC, with facilities located in Missouri City, TX and Houston, TX is voluntarily recalling products containing jalapeño peppers supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors due to the potential for contamination with Salmonella.

The affected products were distributed to retail customers in Texas and Louisiana between July 3, 2026, and August 5, 2026. All products related to this recall were removed from H-E-B shelves. All products currently available at H-E-B are safe and not impacted by the recall.

This recall was initiated after NatureBest was notified by Coast Citrus Distributors that certain jalapeño peppers supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors were subject to a recall. The FDA and CDC, in collaboration with state and local partners, are investigating illnesses in a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Javiana infections linked to jalapeño peppers from Sinaloa, Mexico and distributed by Coast Citrus Distributors. Products manufactured using the affected jalapeños may therefore be impacted.

Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

NatureBest Precut & Produce LLC has ceased distribution of the affected products and is working in cooperation with its supplier and regulatory authorities regarding this recall.

Consumers who have purchased the affected products should not consume them but discard the products or return them to the place of purchase.
