H‑E‑B has begun a major wall‑to‑wall remodel and expansion of its 83 & Lincoln H‑E‑B store in Harlingen, bringing significant upgrades that will modernize, refresh, and expand services for customers. The comprehensive project represents a substantial investment in the community and reaffirms H‑E‑B’s longstanding commitment to the Rio Grande Valley.
Located at 613 S. Expressway 83, the store has proudly served Harlingen customers since 1990. As part of this remodel, every department throughout the store will be expanded, increasing the total size to nearly 112,000 square feet once complete. Renovations are already underway and are expected to be completed in early 2027.
Major upgrades will include:
- Expanded departments across the store
- A larger and more diverse product assortment
- A refreshed and modernized exterior
- An expanded H‑E‑B Curbside area with additional dedicated parking
- The addition of Flaming Bird Restaurant, offering customers fresh, bold, and convenient hot‑food options
- H‑E‑B Wellness Primary Care, providing accessible, high‑quality health and wellness services in‑store
