Beginning July 4, as America kicks off the celebration of its 250th anniversary, H-E-B is inviting Texans to nominate active-duty military service members deployed away from home to receive one of 2,000 free care packages filled with H-E-B favorites.
Nominations will be accepted until 2,000 care package requests have been received. Texans can submit nominations by completing the form at heb.com/militarycarepackages. Each care package will include a variety of H-E-B brand products along with a handwritten thank you note from H-E-B Partners across the company.
“As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we’re reminded that our nation’s strength is built on the sacrifice and service of our military,” said Johnny Mojica, H-E-B Public Affairs Manager. “This Independence Day, we’re honored to send a taste of Texas and a heartfelt thank you to those serving far from home.”
In celebration of Independence Day, H-E-B is supporting more than 70 community events across Texas, including parades, festivals and fireworks shows. A list of select H-E-B-sponsored celebrations is available at the events calendar on H-E-B Newsroom.

Since 2013, through H-E-B Operation Appreciation and the H-E-B Tournament of Champions Charitable Trust, H-E-B has helped provide 61 mortgage-free, specially adapted, fully furnished homes to severely wounded Veterans through partnerships with the Gary Sinise Foundation, Homes for Our Troops and Operation Finally Home.
Recognized by Forbes as a top employer for Veterans, H-E-B has hired more than 32,000 Veterans and military spouses since 2014 through Operation Appreciation, reflecting the company’s longstanding commitment to supporting those who serve our nation.
Customers can also raise a cup for those who serve and have served with Café Olé by H-E-B’s Commemorative Collection coffee. For every purchase, 35 cents benefits members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
