Get ready, San Antonio. H-E-B is jumping into the taco game with the opening of its first True Texas Tacos location focused entirely on the Alamo City’s favorite fare.

True Texas Tacos will showcase a menu of more than a dozen breakfast and specialty tacos made with the freshest ingredients. Tacos range from traditional Tex-Mex offerings such as bacon & egg and bean & cheese to specialty bites such as barbacoa and chopped Texas brisket. Customers can even get creative, mix and matching ingredients to make their own unique concoction.

All flour tortillas are made in house and corn tortillas are available upon request. To satisfy every heat level, there’s a salsa bar with several spicy sauces and taco-appropriate condiments.

Taco enthusiasts can find True Texas Tacos tucked inside H-E-B’s newest convenience store at Bulverde Road and Loop 1604. Tacos are served from 5 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Located inside the loop, the convenience store, which will have 20 gas pumps, car wash and an extensive wine and beer selection with a walk-in refrigerated beer cooler, will be open 24 hours. This marks the 11th convenience store location for H-E-B. The store opened on June 15.

Along with True Texas Tacos, the 9,000-square-foot convenience store also will include a South Flo Pizza. This marks the 10th location offering fresh, made-to-order pizza for $10. Pizza is available for take out only and this location will not offer its happy hour special. South Flo Pizza will be open from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily.
