As a longtime partner, H-E-B is your Spurs Game Day Headquarters
Looking to build on last season’s run to the finals, the San Antonio Spurs are back on the court and in a new series of fun-filled H-E-B commercials. Along with plans for in-store surprises and community outreach opportunities throughout the season, the retailer will also carry exclusive branded merchandise such as apparel and accessories.
Because there’s no shortage of talent on the Spurs’ roster, the spots include all-stars Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox, guards Stephon Castle and Devin Vassell, last season’s sixth man of the year Keldon Johnson, and the newest addition to the H-E-B commercial lineup, Dylan Harper. The first of the star-studded spots, which feature H-E-B brand favorites, launched during the team’s season opener. Additional commercials and videos that feature the players, as well as the Spurs Coyote, will be released at different times throughout the season.
While the players showcase their acting talents on screen, fans also can find game day excitement at their local stores. H-E-B, your Spurs Game Day Headquarters, will carry exclusive merch that can only be found at select stores across San Antonio, Austin, and South Texas, starting in November. Plus, customers are encouraged to show their team spirit and wear Spurs gear in-store for a chance at surprise tickets and merch giveaways all season long.

In the first of these commercials, titled “Hardball,” a clever young fan uses his negotiating skills and some irresistible H-E-B brand snacks to entice a few of the players into making lucrative trades of their belongings. Minus a couple jerseys and a pair of sneakers, the players shrug and claim the deals were worth it, as the young fan smirks surrounded by his haul.
As they’re released, the commercials will be televised throughout the season in San Antonio and Austin areas as well as other select cities in South Texas. Fans also can watch the spots on H-E-B’s YouTube page and its other social media platforms.
This award-winning collaboration started in 2004 when H-E-B and the Spurs launched the first commercial in the annual series. Since then, H-E-B and Spurs Sports & Entertainment have joined together in numerous community investment projects and provided Spurs fans and H-E-B customers with player appearances and fan appreciation events throughout the year. This includes H-E-B’s recent $500,000 commitment to fund youth basketball courts in underserved communities across the Lone Star State. Announced earlier this summer, the retailer will coordinate with Spurs Give, the official nonprofit of Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E), to bring new courts to communities in San Antonio, Austin, Brownsville, and Corpus Christi through their ongoing Spurs Play initiative.
