The 117,000-square-foot store, which includes a True Texas BBQ, continues the retailer’s expansion in North Texas

H-E-B officially opened the doors to its Allen store, the fourth H-E-B location the multiformat retailer has opened in the DFW Metroplex in the past year. The 117,000-square-foot H-E-B Allen store joins the recently opened Frisco, Plano, and McKinney H-E-B locations, as well as six Central Market locations that have been serving DFW shoppers for more than two decades. This newest store opening comes on the heels of the San Antonio-based retailer announcing plans for additional DFW-area H-E-B stores in Melissa, Prosper, and Rockwall. Additionally, H-E-B will introduce Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B to the region, an innovative price format that delivers a uniquely curated assortment of community focused products, with locations planned for W. Wheatland Rd. and Highway 67 as well as S. Buckner Blvd. and Samuell St.

Continuing its drive into the DFW area, H-E-B introduces this Collin County community to a shopping destination with a commitment to deliver unsurpassed freshness and quality at H-E-B’s everyday low prices. Filled with exciting amenities and innovations that H-E-B is known for, the Allen store has distinctive features such as a True Texas BBQ restaurant; full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with a drive-thru; and Home by H-E-B home décor department featuring furniture, woven textiles, and accent pieces from the Haven + Key and Texas Proud collections.

The store also offers H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery, which allows customers to place orders online for pickup at the store or home delivery. These exciting digital services give customers choices on how they shop, pay for, and receive their products.

The H-E-B Allen store is located at 575 E. Exchange Pkwy in Allen. The store is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Inside and out, H-E-B designed the store to reflect the character unique to the local community and emphasized environmental sustainability, incorporating several energy-efficient inclusions such as CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting. The site also features extensive native landscaping throughout the property.

As the largest privately held employer in Texas, H-E-B’s Allen store employs about 750 Partners (employees), most who are from the local area. All job opportunities can be found at H-E-B Careers.

Through its Spirit of Giving philosophy, H-E-B is passionately dedicated to its customers beyond its stores. In this spirit, H-E-B commemorated the store’s grand opening with a $10,000 donation to the Friends of the Allen Public Library. Donations such as this build upon the company’s support of more than 150 non-profit organizations and public schools in the DFW Metroplex.

In the DFW area, H-E-B has officially opened H-E-B stores in Frisco, Plano, and McKinney. H-E-B stores in Alliance and Mansfield are currently under construction.

Earlier this year, the multi-format retailer announced plans to open two Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B stores in Dallas. Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B is part of H-E-B’s family of brands offering an innovative price format that delivers the most relevant, high-quality, fresh products H-E-B is known for at even lower prices. These will become the first Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B locations to open outside the Houston area.

  • Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B Wheatland at 4101 W. Wheatland Road is expected to open in summer 2024
  • Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B Buckner at 5204 S. Buckner Blvd. is expected to open spring 2025

Additionally, H-E-B will soon begin construction on stores in Melissa, Prosper, and Rockwall. These stores, which are expected to open in 2025, will be located at:

  • H-E-B Melissa at the Northeast Corner US 75 and Highway 121
  • H-E-B Prosper at the Southeast corner Frontier Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway
  • H-E-B Rockwall at the Southwest corner John King Boulevard and I30

More information about these three stores will be released at their respective groundbreakings early next year.
