H-E-B starts construction on H-E-B Alliance in north Tarrant County

H-E-B Alliance is expected to open in spring 2024.

H-E-B officially started construction on a store in north Tarrant County, breaking ground on H-E-B Alliance. Set to open in late spring 2024, the new store will be located at 3451 Heritage Trace Parkway at the northwest corner of Heritage Trace Parkway and N. Riverside Drive on the northern edge of Fort Worth. In Tarrant Co., H-E-B Alliance will join two Central Market locations, which have served Tarrant Co. for more than two decades, and H-E-B Mansfield, a location announced earlier this year.

At 125,000 square feet, the H-E-B store, the company’s flagship format, will showcase all the quality products and innovative services H-E-B customers have come to love and expect. Along with a world class product assortment at H-E-B’s everyday low prices, the store will include a True Texas BBQ restaurant with drive-thru, which was named best barbecue chain in Texas by Texas Monthly and a top barbecue chain in the nation by Thrillist, as well as H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery, which will allow customers to place orders online for pickup at the store or delivery to the home. Other features include a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with drive-thru and Texas Backyard department with a selection of outdoor essentials.

“We’re excited to become neighbors in this dynamic and growing area of Tarrant County, a community we’ve served and been a part of for more than 20 years with our Central Market stores,” said Juan-Carlos Rück, H-E-B Executive Vice President, North West Food/Drug Division. “With the addition of H-E-B Alliance, we look forward to providing an outstanding shopping experience and the best H-E-B has to offer.”

The announcement for H-E-B Alliance comes on the heels of H-E-B store openings in Frisco and Plano. In the DFW area, H-E-B has officially announced stores in Frisco and Plano, locations now open; Alliance, McKinney, and Allen, which are under construction; and Mansfield, which will break ground soon.

“H-E-B is a true Texas legacy, and a perfect fit for Cowtown. Like our residents, I am thrilled to welcome H-E-B Alliance to the rapidly growing North Fort Worth community, anchoring the area’s continued economic growth and promoting healthy, thriving Fort Worth families,” said Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker.

Building on H-E-B’s longstanding presence in the area with its Central Market stores, the move reinforces the retailer’s commitment to serve more customers in this rapidly growing part of Texas. Regularly recognized as a top employer in the nation, H-E-B will offer positions that range from department managers to cashiers. It’s estimated that H-E-B Alliance will employ approximately 750 Partners (employees). H-E-B will post all job opportunities to the H-E-B Careers site in the coming months.

A proud Texas company, H-E-B’s presence in the Metroplex runs deep. As a multi-format retailer, H-E-B has served the broader community for two decades with its innovative Central Market stores, which were introduced to the DFW area in 2001 and serve customers in Dallas, Plano, Southlake, and Fort Worth. For years, H-E-B stores also have served communities near the Metroplex including Burleson, Hudson Oaks, Granbury, and Waxahachie. Additionally, H-E-B’s fast and convenient Favor Delivery now serves 29 cities across the metro area. For the company, its store formats include H-E-B, Central Market, Joe V’s Smart Shop, and Mi Tienda.

Through its Spirit of Giving philosophy, H-E-B is passionately dedicated to its customers beyond its stores. In this spirit and to celebrate the groundbreaking of its new store, H-E-B gifted $10,000 each for a total of $50,000 to five community nonprofits including the Perot Elementary, Artes de la Rosa, Alliance for Children, Community Storehouse, and Cornerstone Assistance Network. These donations build upon the company’s support of more than 150 non-profit organizations and public schools in the DFW Metroplex.

“One of the true joys of being a part of H-E-B is getting to know local organizations doing great work in the communities we serve,” said Mabrie Jackson, H-E-B Senior Director of Public Affairs. “We are proud to support these five organizations, and we look forward to continue serving our new neighbors now and well into the future.”

The largest privately held employer in Texas, H-E-B has more than 420 stores and 145,000 Partners in Texas and Mexico, and the retailer continues to be an economic driver as it expands in North Texas and other areas of the state.
